The Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) is mandated to ensure the effective management of basic education across primary, nomadic, and junior secondary schools in Abia State. We are responsible for the recruitment, appointment, and development of teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as the implementation of educational policies, curriculum standards, and infrastructure projects. Our mandate is to create an enabling environment that fosters quality education and lifelong learning for all children.
Our Core Services Include:
Schools ManagementOverseeing the overall operation and management of basic schools, including the posting of headteachers and principals, curriculum and scheme of work implementation, provision of instructional materials, provision of infrastructure, extracurricular activities, and maintaining a clean and green school environment.
Teacher Training (Upskilling and Reskilling)
